Spending the night killing mites!!!
Well around midnight I went to check on my normal BP who I noticed had been chilling in his water bowl earlier,I figured he was about to shed but nope a closer look would show little sob mites. So here I am cleaning away all my tanks this is really going to be a long night. To top it off my wife works tomorrow so I'll be up with the kids in a few hours. Thanks mites, I hope you all die

UGGGHH!!! And where do they even COME from, how they find our snakes is just some kind of witchcraft! I sent many mites to the burning flames of mite hell a few weeks ago. PAM is amazing, one spray and they are GONE. My snake went from spending all day nosing at the glass trying to escape (I felt soooooo bad for her, it was TERRIBLE to watch) to now contentedly sleeping in her hide all day and all night.
I wish you the best of luck. Welcome to the "I AM LOOSING MY MIND!!!!!!" club.

Well it's 415 and the job is about done. Seeing as tho it was past 11pm when I found the problem I couldn't go to the store for anything to kill mites. I hear they don't work well anyway. I started by taking my hypo out and noticed that he too had a few. I bathed him first knocking off any of those evil creatures. Then I inspected him very closely to find the ones In his scales once I found them I drowned them in water so they would come out a little, then I squeezed them out like you would a pimple! The ones around the head and pits are pain but I finally got them. The one in the pit I used a damp q-tip to rub out. Then I bleached the hell out of evvvverything soaked it all in water to drown the remaining A holes. I did this for all my snakes. I put down paper towels on the floor of their tubs so if any are creeping around I'll know and I'll start the whole process again.
Ok now so how did I get the mites? I picked up a baby normal from pet co last week. Which like drinking milk on a hot day was a bad choice. But hey whatever it's not the animals fault so I showed him the same love I did my ghost and got all the little boogers off him. So the moral of the story is I must really love these snakes to still be up doing this.

PAM is the only thing that I use. Just read the directions and follow them exactly. The stuff is awesome. It usually kills all the mites in one use, but I always use it a second time just to be sure. I also use it every 3 months even if I haven't seen a mite just for a preventative measure.
