He's a whole 500 grams now, and that's after eating like crazy this past month, he started locking at 400 grams

Looking good Jerry!! I've had that surprise clutch, lots and lots of locks, but I haven't noticed any ovulations. Hopefully I've just missed them, since I've had most my girls just shed or in shed now

lol, I had that same thought, but he's a trooper and locks her up fairly quickly when he is introduced.

Maybe I should learn how to feel for follicles......
More than anything else, learning to palpate gave me the ability to know where my females were in the breeding process, taking away a lot of the anxiety that goes along with not knowing.
I've learned to do it on the floor with a table leg or the leg of a heavy chair. I never could get it down when I tried letting the females slide up and over and into their tub.
