    Moving question

I haven't been on here in awhile but my bp petrie is doing great. I know when you first get snake home you leave them to settle into new tank but my question is, I'm moving him soon to my new house and was wondering if I do the same, I just am not sure if I do or not because he will be going back into his same tank. Just wanted to know because I don't want to stress him out more than what the move is gonna

    Re: Moving question

I think it depends on just how far the move is. If he is going to be bagged up for any length of time then you should give a day or so to get used to his new environment.

When I moved it was a very short car drive and mine never knew any different. Same tub just a different house - they were none the wiser - lol

    Good luck.

As L. West said, it depends on how far you are moving, and it also depends on your snake. Well established snakes moving cages or just across town (less than an hour or two drive) often settle in within a day. More sensitive snakes or longer moves can require a couple weeks for them to settle back in to their usual routine.

    Re: Moving question

It is only like 15 min drive, he have never been too sensitive. I just always like to ask if I'm not sure about somethin, I'd rather ask dumb questions
then to not and effect him negatively heh

    Re: Moving question

He'll do just fine. These guys are pretty resilient. I dragged a few on a 2400 mile, 4 day move and on the other end of it they settled in just fine.

    Good luck with the move.
