Haha, definite surprise! The eggs should be fine for a ew hours while your incubator warms up. I was out of town when one of my girls laid last year, and I'm pretty sure she was on them (newspaper substrate) for 48 hours before I found them. They were pretty dehydrated and stayed dimpled throughout incubation, but hatched all healthy babies.Originally Posted by heathers*bps
Unfortunately, since I wasn't expecting eggs anytime soon, I don't even have an incubator on. But I set the tub of eggs in a spare tub in the rack and turned the incubator on before I left for work. It should be warmed up by the time I get home
