    Haha, definite surprise! The eggs should be fine for a ew hours while your incubator warms up. I was out of town when one of my girls laid last year, and I'm pretty sure she was on them (newspaper substrate) for 48 hours before I found them. They were pretty dehydrated and stayed dimpled throughout incubation, but hatched all healthy babies.
