Boas might be Even More Clever Than Before

Well I bought a Kenyan Sand Boa about nine months ago and put him into my Animal Plastics Economic Rack. He did feeding well for about five months and just dead stopped on me. After three months he was noticeably small (flat top and bottom and only slightly rounded sides), it was very depressing. I attempted a few ways to get him to eat, but to no avail. I even tried to assist feed him and twice we did it he spat it up both times (even a third attempt of egg yolk mixed up and pushed into him with a syringe didn't work, spat it right up). Well a few days ago I went to look for him to try something new (live small fuzzy sprayed with scent) and I couln't find him and still haven't. He apparently crawled out through the tiny gap on the edges and disappeared.

I have six cats and three dogs, sad to say if he did make it out he is probably dead. My other snakes are happy and healthy, so I don't know what happened with him. He was either brilliant escape-artist or fated to die sooner than later. First snake I've lost and I feel terrible.

Wow that sucks. Maybe your ksb's plan was to lose enough weight to squeeze his way out :o He definitely has more determination than most people lol. On that note, I hope you find him, and hopefully none of your other animals gets to him first. gl!
