Also to clear up the over paying statement, I was given misinformation and was told by a breeder that I can find genetic stripes in the $35 range at shows. I now know this was bull and I appologize for the comment.

Not so sure anyone is offended James...for future reference though, when wondering about the pricing on specific animals, the classifieds(kingsnake, fauna) are usually a good place to start.

Thanks, I know ks and fauna are good looking sites but I like to see what everyday people are willing to pay for certain bps... Seems some of the prices on some sites are really high.. Case & point, I bought my cinny fader with genetic blk back for $100 at the local show, I looked up cinny faders and they werr way higher priced... Guess I just need to learn more and understand how to put value on certain things, just figured if I had put that I was buying a genetic stripe male for $50 then asked what yall thought he was worth I would get the basic he's worth what you paid responce. And like I said I was unsure if he was het or not and was told some bad information... Sucks cuz now I look like a jerk...

I thought you were saying it was a visual genetic stripe breeder male. Those are worth about $700 give or take. A het genetic stripe male is still worth $200 or so. $50 is a good pick up. Also, if you snagged a cinny black back fader for $100 then you got a hell of a deal. Would you mind posting pics of him? Sounds awesome, thanks.

I've meant to ask about this before, as a cinny genetic black back fader amounts to a 3 gene animal that I would be surprised to go for under $1,500...maybe more, I don't know because I've never seen one for sale. What I do know is that for whatever reason, black backs are relatively common with cinnies, and that I believe fader and genetic black backs aren't 2 genes that are being worked with extensively by a lot of people.

very true, the back story to this guy is the breeder is from KS. He has a been workingthe fader gene for a few years. i'm not sure on all the details but I know he had a pewter from the same clutch going for 950 +/- . All I know is my cinny is stayin with me for a very long time...

I'm not offended just pointing out facts bud, If it says proven genetic stripe that means its proven to produce them. IF it just said genetic strip for sale then, i personally don't see any fader in your cinny but that's just me i could be wrong but most of the faders i have seen have allot of pattern faded/missing

I'm sorry but I don't agree.. That add really isn't worded right.. A proven genetic stripe would be a visual genetic stripe that is a proven breeder. Yes they put 100% in there but left out the word het so it is confusing. It makes people think the add was written by someone who has no clue about genetics and may not be sure what they have so of course this will cause questions and that is fully understandable.. The word proven means proven breeder if the word het is not in the add. It is a confusing add that does not properly explain what the animal is.
