room temperature when using rubbermaids?

I use an oil filled space heater controlled by a Ranco thermostat to maintain the ambient temperature in my snake room...

Curious.. why do you have the heater raised up from the carpet?

I also use an oil filled heater controlled by a Ranco thermostat, kept between 76 - 80 degrees.
