Heating my PVC cage

So I'm gonna be using flex watt under my hot side but the room the cage is in will only be around 70 degrees so should I use 2 of the flex watts with 1 to keep it 90 and 1 to keep the cold side 80?

Flexwatt isn't going to solve that problem. I would wait until you have it then see if you will need additional heating. If you find that the air/cool side temperature is too cold then you should get a Radiant Heat Panel to increase the air temp.

The radiant panels go inside the cages right?

Yes they are mounted to the top of the inside of the cage.

Yeah the problem is that flexwatt doesn't effect air temperature. I really think that you won't need an additional heat source. My apartment doesn't stay that much warmer during the winter (72-76) and my cages are fine with just 1 flexwatt.

Ok cool I hope so...I was also thinking since its PVC it would stay warmer than an all glass 1 but maybe I'm not right lol

No, you are correct. PVC holds in heat much better than glass. The flexwatt doesn't effect air temperature but over time heat will build up inside the cage. I have found that it takes a week or so for temperatures to stabilize in my ap cages.

My BP will be ok in there until it stabilizes tho right?

Yes what I mean by stabilize is stay within a degree or 2 of where I want it. During the first week I keep a close eye on it and adjust the thermostat a bunch of times (all 5 of my cages are set differently even though they are stacked on top of each other. Most are within a degree of each other though). In short yes your snake will be fine I haven't seen any drastic changes, max was a 4 degree drop in temperature and that was caused by my AC being set too low.
