stuck shed removal methods ?
my juvenile pastel ball just finished a shed cycle most of it came off in large pieces he seems to have stayed in his hide the entire time and shed in there as well.
only problem is he has some stuck shed on his tail about an inch to a inch and a half.
ive been running seraches but cant seem to find a definative answer on the different methods to deal with a stuck shed.
soooo can anyone on here help me out with a list of instructions on different removal methods ??

use a warm damp towel, and either massage the area until it comes off, or put the towel in a pillow case with the snake (i fold the towel over the snake), tie it shut, and check every 20mins or so. make sure to watch the temps though, you dont want him getting too cold in there

Probably the best way is to take a clean pillow case, get it completely wet, wring it out but not completely, and put the snake in it. Then tie the end or use a zip tie leaving just enough room to crawl around. Set it in the enclosure if you use paper or something that won't stick to it. Set it in the tub or sink otherwise. Leave the snake in there at least a half hour or more. As it crawls around in the damp case the old stuck shed pieces will soften and come off pretty easily. Rubbing on the fabric helps it to come off.

I have used both methods, and they both work.
I tend to like to use a warm wash cloth, works faster I think ^_^
