    Vinyl stick on flooring

I want to add some pizazz to my snake's viv, as well as to the viv I am getting ready to buy for the next snake I get. I had seen a video of someone using them on the walls of their homemade enclosure, which was made of wood, but I have glass. Would it work the same? I was wondering if anyone has experience with them in the more long term, and how well they hold up with higher humidity? Should I use extra reinforcement in the form of extra glue, and can I use standard fare tacky glue? Would it give any extra insulation at all? Could it be advisable to cover a portion of a screen top with it, or might there be some risk there that I'm not seeing (provided it's nowhere near the heat element)?

Sorry if some of those seem obvious, I just don't want any nasty surprises if I choose to go down this route. Also sorry if someone else already covered all of this, 50something pages of threads is a lot to sift through

    I have never tried that.
It might make cleaning a little harder though.
Could you possibly glue them to the outside looking in?
I only think of this because I was at petco the other day and saw a product for fish tanks. It looked like a glue stick if I remember right to glue the backgrounds on. It said it dried on clear.

There a shouldn't be any humidity issues but I would be careful about what type of glue is used inside your tank... you don't want any nasty chemicals in your tank and certainly don'y want anything that your snake can get stuck to. As for insulation I doubt that they will make any drastic improvements, but you might see a small improvement. If nothing else it should help make your snake feel more secure.

Personally I wouldn't use vinyl in my cages because of the strong smell.

From the outside looking in is a great suggestion. I might double-side the tiles that way so it looks uniform, if I choose that medium. Glad I asked about the vinyl, wasn't sure about fumes it might give off. Anyone have any thoughts on hard tiles? Would aquarium silicone hold them snugly against the walls? As you can tell I have no construction experience...

The first cages Chad built he used the vinyl floor tiles. They look cool, but over the years they have started to break apart. Especially when water bowls are dumped over, they don't hold up well in the long run.

I have ceramic tiles in the bottom of my bearded dragon cage, they have held up fairly well so far. I would think that you could groute them onto the sides of the tank.

You might need to rough up the glass to make things stick better.

I have tried that before and it was a bit of a pain. It is very watery and is used to apply aquarium scenery to a tank almost the same way that window tint is applied...
