    Last Weeks Spider Pics

    Theraphosa stirmi 28 & 39

Not sure what happened here. Half way through he backed off, then bumped his chelicerae againts hers. Then they went on mating as though nothing was unusual.

    Avicularia versicolor 19 & 8

    Avicuaria versicolor 7 & 3

    Pterinochilus murinus 5 & 35

    Psalmopoeus irminia 29 & 33

    Psalmopoeus irminia 20 & 5

    Poecilotheria rufilata 9 & Loaner

    Poecilotheria regalis 53 & 1

Poecilotheria regalis 13 & 46 - I think she was trying to tell him no more.

    Poecilotheria ornata 7 & 24

Phogius sp. Aussie "not so" goliath

    Haplopelma lividum 17 & 26

    Cyriocosmus elegans 1 & 4

    A P. fasciata eggsac

A Mostly good P. fasciata eggsac from a small female

    And another one:

Not the best eggsac I've had so far, but there were a number of them moving around in there.

    Poecilotheria formosa

    Poecilotheria metallica with eggsac

Poecilotheria striata - This male matured nearly 3 years ago and he's still eating!

    Psalmopoeus irminia (Ultimate male)

    Psalmopoeus irminia 28 (1st instars)
This was from a tiny female so as expected only a small amount of slings in there.

Once again an antsy P. regalis decided to book it once the door opened.

A not so antsy P. regalis sitting still and waiting for a picture.

Heteroscodra maculata - After 15 years I still find this to be one of the most attractive spiders in the hobby.

    H. lividum peeking out of her burrow

    Brachypelma schroederi

Good looking T's! So how do you re-capture the regalis after the big escape?

These are great pics. The color difference between males and females is insane.

It is an intricate process involving rulers, deli cups, cat-like reflexes, a bit of swearing, dumb luck, and skill.....and this last time my wife had to tell me where it ran to since I lost sight of it.
