    What would you do?

I am trying to decide what I should get as a new addition to my collection. I know it's all about personal preference but I want your opinions. It's between a female bumble bee from kingsnake for $550 shipped or a very nice male pied from Brandon Osbourne for $650 shipped. He has just the right pattern and amount of white that I look for in a pied and I think that he's just perfect. The female bee is a 2011 so she won't be ready to breed next season, and by that time I can buy an adult bee. But the pied well he is very appealing to me and is exactly what I look for in a pied and that's uncommon to find exactly what you want. So what do you think? Just get the pied and wait until next season to get an adult bee or get the bee? Just thought of a third option, save a little more money and get a female pied that looks like him.

As I said in my post about that bee, I really like it... but the Pied wins for me. That is the perfect ratio of white to color in my opinion.

    Re: What would you do?

Both are killer cool looking. Kind of in the same situation with the exception of unable to locate a bee or pied locally. From the pix you posted and the prices quoted, i would lean toward the pied.

That's a really nice bee but personally I think the pied is a better deal. I actually traded two female bees I hatched out last year for a pied male...

    Re: What would you do?

Thank you all, I was leaning more towards the pied but now I have made my decision. He is one of the best piebalds I have seen and will make an excellent addition to my collection. Now I just have to hope that Brandon still has him. His other post says when he's sold one and this one didn't have anything like that so i'll cross my fingers and hope

I vote pied. The bee has great color but IMHO the pattern is average at best...

From reading ur post i can tell you really like that pied. I would get him since hes your ideal looking pied. Good looking bees seem more common than good lookin pieds to me. I think I may have even seen that guy on KS and really liked him.
