You can get a scale at Walmart for 12$ but as far as ur snake not eating that's normal this time of year. Another thing u could try is putting mice bedding in with ur rat before u try feeding the snake. Also u could buy a live one and kill it right before u feed it to the snake so it's real fresh. I have done that before and it's worked wonders. Buy a food scale at Walmart and monitor weight tho to make sure ur snakes not losing weight. It may just be the time of year
