They live to frustrate us.

I do know that they hug the water bowl while they are building. Once they ovulate, they hug the heat. So, ridge back check, not eating check, not hugging the heat should mean not yet.

I've only got one clutch under my belt, but I do remember this being true. She seemed so huge to me, I was waiting and waiting and waiting, and no eggs. When I finally got tired of waiting, and gave up all of a sudden there were eggs! This year I'm doing better. I have learned to tell they are just building now, none of mine have ovulated yet, even though they look huge.
