I kind of want to preserve the shed if I can, is there any way to safely sanitize it without destroying it or bleaching it out? Or do I need to? Have any of you saved your snake's first shed? (Okay, it wasn't his first shed, but you know what I mean...)
I have every shed my snakes ever produced.
I keep them in a box.

I don't worry about "sanitizing" them because any bacteria on them probably dies off after a while.

I guess you could put it in an airtight box with a tiny capful of bleach and the vapors would do the trick.

After all the sheds I've seen, I still grab it and go find hubby squealing "Look what [fill in the blank] just did!" and then I go get whomever just shed and go back again, squealing "Look at [whomever's] new suit!"

And then I take photos of the new suit.

[I am such a flaky "mom"]....
