How long to expect?

Hey guys,
My male spider started locking with my female in late December. The female was off feed for a month before breeding but was still in great shape so I bred her. Now for the past two weeks she's been pounding food. She didn't lock up with the male a week ago. So I gave them a big meal and let them have a break. Now last night she's bowl wrapping so I introduced the male and they locked within minutes. This is her building stage am I correct?

Sounds that way. I would offer her smaller, more frequent meals, instead of larger meals to keep her from feeling uncomfortable and sluggish. Same nutrients, but better balance. Same with the male, even though he doesn't need nearly the calorie load that she does.

Ya by big meal I meant smaller sizes but still a decent portion. I should have been more clear sorry. The female got two small rats. And the male got a larger small rat. Should I give the female one small rat every 4-5 days instead of 2 small every week. On off season she gets a medium every week. Thanks for the reply!

My females have pretty much been on a single small (with the occasional medium thrown in) every 5-6 days since September. I'm still sticking with 1 small/week for my male (he's 1350g). Just to define my feeder sizes - my smalls are 50-80g, and medium is ~120g.
