also i have another concern i recently bought him some new water dishes and i cant tell if they are two high for him to get into. they are about three inches high, he seems to be able to get up on the ledge and get into the bowl, but could this be a deterrent for him to drink if its a little bit of a struggle for him to get up the side of the bowl?
I have a few that have swallowed backwards every now and then. No problem with that as far as I know! Your water bowl should be just fine. They are very strong lil guys, even when they are small! With the young ones however, it's a good idea to keep an eye on them and even soak them occasionally (I do my wee ones once a week) because sometimes the younger guys will go without drinking for some reason until they get the idea of the water bowl.
