Man you do not want to get my GF started on this. She gets hugely angry when we're in line waiting to check out at the grocery store behind someone with food stamps/WIC/welfare, because usually that person has a giant cart full of food, gripes to the cashier about what they can and can't buy, and judging by their clothing (way more expensive than ours), accessories (iPhone 4s or some expensive Android phone, hair that obviously cost a lot of money) and jewelry (giant diamonds, etc), are financially better off than we are. (We do not qualify and just do our best to get by.)
I'm definitely with the people upthread.
First off, if you can't afford to feed and house kids, don't have them. Birth control is NOT rocket science, and it's a lot cheaper than kids are. That, or if you're of a religious persuasion that thinks every sperm is sacred, you could always refrain from sex (oh noes!).
Second, if I'm paying for your reproductive irresponsibilities to eat, it had better be healthy food. I see no problem with the idea of restricting what can be bought with those funds.
Hm, judging by what I just typed, you don't want to get *me* started on it either, and I toned it down somewhat from where I started.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!
