Is it ok to feed your snake twice

I have a question that I pretty much know the answer to which I think is no. Yesterday I went to the pet store to get a rat pup or at least a pinkie for Fang. They did not have any live ones in and Fang refuses to eat thawed ones. They gave me 2 mice and I tried to feed them both to him last night but he would only eat the one and the other one was kind of rowdy around him so I just took him out in fear of him taking a chunk out of my sons snake ( this is why I wish he will eat the thawed ). Now would it be alright to feed him this one today when I get off work I realy do not want him off of his eatting pattern which is once a week.

Just offer the second mouse in a week, like normal. He ate the first one, so he should be fine.

My worry with keeping the mouse until then is I have to keep it alive and I thought that feeder mice were feed something other then normal food like some sort of special diet? As I also now would have to buy a feeder bottle for this little fellow and then my daughter falling in love with his food which makes things worse lol.

You could always take it back to the pet shop today after you get off work if you don't feel like dealing with all of that.

How heavy is the snake? How heavy are the mice? i typically feed about 10% of the snakes weight sometimes that means two small items rather than one big one. I have found the snake will let you know, after the meal if they return to the hide they are done but if they stay out and in strike mode often will take the second one. Sometimes they will no be very interested in the second but a day or two later they are out hunting again so I'll offer the other at that time. I really don't want to feed more than 10% or so. So usually offering two usually means they are 5% or less of the snakes weight. They generally will let you know when they are hungry.

You can offer again in five days. I would put the mouse away, give him a bowl of water, and feed him scraps of food. Mice and rats will eat just about anything you give them. They may tip over water bowls or get stuff in them, so they will have to be cleaned more, but it can still be used. Then you wouldn't have to put out any more money.

Unless the mouse is half the size of his normal meal, I wouldn't double up on feed. Just wait it out for the five days and offer him again. Usually at five days they are ready to eat again, some babies will even eat again after four.

See I have yet to buy a scale which I told my wife we will be getting so I can keep up the weight of Fang. I do know he is about 14 or 16 inchs long and was 114 grams last month when he went to a vet.

    FEED IT!

If the snake is hungry it will eat, if it isn't hungry it won't eat.

I would just wait and offer when next meal is. He should be fine if he ate one. We now have a little plastic critter keeper for just this kind of thing. I stop and get everyone food, come home and find out someone is blue or something'sng like that. I don't want to waste rodents.
