George DUW
My son turned 5 in November and has been taking a special interest in my leopard geckos. He feeds them when he can and loves to handle them. We decided it would be a good idea to get him his own to help him with learning responsibility. So, at the NH reptile expo on Sunday we picked up this guy for him. He had to be a boy so he could be named George...according to my son lol. So...here's George. He's a (something) snow albino...can't remember what the first part is lol We got him from Cold Blooded Pets

George is very handsome! Our daughter just got interested in the leos. We have a female that looks just like that. We were told she is a tremper snow albino. Congrats!

Now, can someone ease my mind a little? I've tried feeding him for 3 days now. I'm feeding him the exact same way I feed my other two leos but they are adults. I am also using medium-ish mealworms. He seems slightly interested, like he lifts his head and watches them, but looses interest quickly. Is this from the move or should I try a different insect now? He's so small I'm worried about him not eating for too long....

Our guy is more interested in crickets. Their movement gets his attention. Mealworms barely move (in comparison) and are no fun to hunt!

I second the call for crickets - leos usually prefer food that moves.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!

Re: George DUW
Our leos love the worms. But they are all adults. They won't eat until the room is dark though. Then they come pig out. I put a bunch of worms in their dish, and as soon as you turn out the lights they are all out to eat. Don't know about younger ones though. Change of food couldn't hurt. Maybe leave a worm or two in the dish, then if they don't eat the crickets, the crickets will munch on the worms, not your Leo. Good luck with little George. Maybe he is gonna shed, and like a ball????
