I really HATE it when they don't eat

I know I know its part of keeping balls make sure they don't lose so much weight try again next week but I really really hate it. Today is feeding day NONE ate! All constricted but left it and don't eat it the rat gave its life for them they don't eat!

That's especially annoying when they constrict and leave it hehe

Yea..I know exactly what you mean. It's frustrating...

Try to get to know what they like best that's all. Some will only eat if the f/t mice is left in their tub, some in their hides......Sometimes feeding them smaller size meal will help too. I offer an appropriate size rat for my picky mid-adult ball python, but she refuse to eat it. Then when I offer rat weanling, she snatches those immediately. Hehehe. Good luck buddy! They'll be eating again in no time.

Bummer.....guess your gonna gonna have to try new feeding techniques and write down specific ball's eating preference.

well I left it in there for a few hours and at least one ate it, thank god. The others didn't eat. My albino female always constrict but then doesn't eat it, it is like she constricts every time immediately, but only actually eats every other feeding now. Pastel hasn't eaten a damn thing at all since I got her, tried big small live dead rat mice everything. Maybe I try those techniques like braining or chicken soup anyone ever had luck with that?

Pewter always eats whatever I give him, that's good.

I am getting more snakes soon, so maybe then I can split the snakes into two groups of similar size and then feed half on thursday and if any don't eat give it to someone in the other half, and the next day feed whoever else hasn't been fed.

I only thaw about half the number of rats this time of year. I offer to the BPs that are eating less or off feed first, and then to the strong eaters last. Off-feeders get offered twice before I give their meals to someone else. It takes a little longer and I typically still end up with one or two left over, but at least I'm not thawing double the number that get eaten each time and throwing rats away in the morning.

You say this time of year. Is it that in the colder months that you get a lot of problem feeders that are ok again when it warms?
