Well this sucks....

So, recently I've had the unfortunate luck of finding out that my "business" name has been taken (Ruthless Reptiles). I guess it's better to find out now rather than finding out a few years down the line that someone snatched it up before I did (I've checked domain registry and all that to be sure that they came up with it first).

Let's just say when I found out, I had a look on my face like a cat just crapped in my oatmeal (sorry for the visual). But it's not their fault they were quicker on the gun then I was and it's my fault that I didn't look a little deeper. So I've had some time to sit down, decompress and really brainstorm some new name ideas that I'm 99.9% sure no one has taken, but I would like some opinions.

Please pick the most appealing name to you out of the bunch. I won't necessarily go with what's popular in the end but I would like to get some opinions from all you folks. And if you have a suggestion, by all means make it; I'm always open.

I chose High Voltage out of the ones you mentioned, sounded the most professional to me and sounded closest to the Ruthless Reptiles (Ruthless - Voltage, same "strong" words). Sorry to hear that your original idea was taken though

I like the "Voltage" one as well and it gets my vote. The Blue Moon one I'd be cautious on; not implying that you did copy but given that there's a beer with that name and I'm sure a boardroom full of lawyers looking to sue any schmuck they can find for any perceived copyright infringement, real or imagined, I'd steer clear of that one. Sucks someone got the one you had picked out...sorry to hear that.

Ah crap! I'm not a big beer drinker so I spaced but now that you mention it, I remember it....ugh. I was pulling it from the old Elvis song which might be cheating a bit....meh. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

I choose the first two choices on your poll. High Voltage sounds fierce!
And I actually liked blue moon until somebody pointed out the beer. I'm not a beer drinker either and didn't realize. Hahaha
I don't think you would get sued for using the name if you did. I'm sure lots of things are named 'blue moon' since it's a fairly common saying... And you would be fine as long as their logo and font isn't used.
