Question Help me identify it's gender: male of female?

Judging from these pictures and the lenght of the tail from the cloaca, would you rather think it's a male or a female?
My thumb is right at the cloaca.

    Thank you very much!

There's no way to tell based on tail length. The only way to know for sure whether it's male or female is to have it probed by someone who knows what they're doing.

x2, you can either "Probe" a ball python, or "Pop" them. both methods are difficult until you get the hang of it, and if done incorrectly can hurt/damage your snake.

x2 With how small he/she is, someone should be able to pop it fairly easily, too.

Try and look up some popping videos, if your uncomfortable with that, take it to a local pet store.

Looking up popping videos = good, taking it to a local pet store other than a reptile shop (no chain stores) = bad Most of the time pet stores and their employes have no clue how to properly care for reptiles.

Oh wow, just noticed that you were trying to base it off tail length...the pictures were so bad I thought I was looking at you popping and trying to sex. Disregard what I said.

Only way to tell is to probe or pop. Highly recommend you have someone experienced do it. Find a herp vet, or specialty store in your area. Or maybe a breeder in the area?
