You need one to measure the hot side, and one to measure the cool side. The nice thing about the ones at Wall*mart and he one in your link is they have 2 thermometers and a hydrometer in one box. so You will only need to get one of these. The probe will be on the hot side (directly over the heat tape), and the second thermometer sensor and the hydrometer are under the screen on the box part of the thermometer. So you will place the box part on the cool side of the tank/tub.

I found mine in the paint. Talk about WTF factor when I finally tracked them down.

The accurites are no better or worse than 90% on the market. I'd recommend something different myself, they are expensive for a thermometer.

A reasonable way to check accuracy of one is to compare it to two or more others with the probes placed in the same conditions. At that price it is starting to add up. I use a single thermometer and a analogue humidor hygrometer as it is easily checked and calibrated and many times more resistant to dirt and dust. the ones I bought cost me 1.20$ each and the hygrometer was 9$. I would buy 5 thermometers and use the 3 that read the closest. It becomes apparent why this method when they are compared. The three accurites I had spread 3.6ºC (7ºF or so) apart. Not one read accurately (tested against a very accurate scientific thermometer) The only good thing i have to say about the accurites was Cheney returned the two that were beyond the specs. The third I ended up keeping as it was barely inside the specs +/-2ºF it was 1.7+...

You are right. That particular model is discontinued, so if you can still find them in stores, get them while they last. I'm currently experimenting with a digital, calibrateable humidor hygrometer that also shows ambient temp. For my hot side, I will use my temp gun, unless I find a decent probe thermometer.

I found my accurite thermometer at Wal-Mart!! It WAS in the lighting department. I was so confused. lol Thanks everyone!!

Oh and it said it was $26 but when I went to check out it was half that price. lol They mispriced it I guess. Glad I didn't have to spend $26 on it though.

Yeah, they are in really weird places, and not always the same weird place lol. I've been in 5 different Wall*Marts to get them, and they have always been right around $12 so it was probably just mislabeled.
