    Either way, your Hints make my mind go nuts as im not huge into colubrids anymore. My first guess was some kind of water snake but not northern as i been bit by plenty of them fishing.

    thats a south american species of water snake, not sure what species though.
    its apart of the family helicops, so its related to the dogged faced water snake.

    So are you referring to the pics I posted? If so, those are not helicops, they are indeed dog faced water snakes.
