shipping to upstate ny

i was told by a breeder that he wont ship to me because its illigal to ship ball pythons to ny. i know they are illiegal in nyc but i live in ontario ny near buffalo. does anyone know where i can find anything in writing about ball python laws in upstate ny?

hes in florida and says he called fwc and they said he cant ship to ny.

If the snakes aren't banned in the State of New York, which all sources say they aren't, then he can ship it to you.

Tell him to try calling back and specify the location, instead of just saying 'New York', which many take to mean NYC.

Alternatively, take your business to a breeder who can competently look up information that it took me less than 5 minutes to Google. He's obviously not very motivated to sell.

Ball pythons can be shipped in the state of NY the only restrictions are in NYC http://www.nycacc.org/nychealthcode.htm

im just not going to buy her. it was a 2 year old lesser female for 850. wanted her for my 400 gram mojave. but my uncle in law has a 1200 gram mojave female he might sell me as he has a female lesser bee aswell.

I just had 2 ball pytns shipped and they are only banned in New York City. I live in Watertown, NY so I am in upstate as well 2 pet stores here sell ball pythons, 1 sell's red tail's. I know Big Apple Pt Supply is in New York and they carry ball pythons among other things and they ship all over the US.

im here in olean, just south of buffalo. their are quite a few breeders in your area. try looking up will still. he is probably not far from you and he breeds some really nice lessers. ill try and see if i can get him to respond.
