Good store to buy frozen feeders from?
Can be online or a local (central Illinois) breeder, but I'm looking for a good supplier. I only have one juvenile BP, but the reason I need to find a new supplier is because I ran out of feeders today, and went out to check the local stores' supplies.
Sorry if the below portion of text is not meant for this forum, I will edit as soon as I can if it isn't.

Our snake was bought from a family-friend pet store owner in the next town over, and it's a bit of a ways but still being local (so I might just go buy from them), so I figured I'd see what the stores in my town sell. And what I saw disgusted me!! Mice that were covered in feces and urine, with smashed in heads, etc. And a business here (not sure if I can give names) actually TOLD me they kill their own mice just by sticking them in the freezer alive. I do not find that humane in any way, but others may think differently. I ended up buying from here even though I didn't want to, because they had the cleanest looking mice. I was tempted to buy live and kill them myself (using the tail-pull-snap-neck method, I guess you could call it, since I don't have a CO2 chamber), because the live myself at least seemed cleaner. But the mice I brought home had eyes that looked like they were frozen over or rolled into the back of their heads, it was terrible.

So that's just what I'm asking, and places online that can sell in small(er) quantities since I only have the one snake at the moment, or any local breeders?

Thanks for telling me about them!! I think Dannie is ready for weaner mice now, and the price is perfect! As soon as she is ready for them I will start her on rat pups though, and those prices are great too. I shouldn't need any for a while though after ordering haha, 50 might take a bit.

Yikes, that store sounds horrible. I too believe freezing alive is cruel. It could take an animal hours to finally die in a freezer.
I don't recommend ever going back to them if their conditions are that nasty.
I agree w/ The Serpent Merchant on Rodentpro

the only thing that sucks is the shipping price, but otherwise you can't beat it.

Thank you for the second of that recommendation, I will definitely try them soon. I agree with you on that too satomi, I will not be going back.
Just another question and I don't think I should start a whole new thread, do you guys think a rat pup is too big for a 110 gram BP? I personally think she's a little small for her age because I was feeding her two fuzzies every 5 days since I got her (given free from my friends who I bought her from) and that barely meets her 15% weight mark currently. I'm very much hoping I can start her on rats, though.

you should be feeding your snake rodents that weigh 15% of your snakes body weight, so a rat pup would be a little too big, but your snake should grow into them fairly quickly. I would get 1 bag of Rat Fuzzies, and 1 bag of Rat pups ( or more ) from Rodent Pro.
The frozen rodents will last 6 months to a year in the freezer so you want to get as much as you can afford so the shipping costs can be saved since you won't have to reorder as soon.

Roughly $60.00 for shipping ( I live in Michigan). Seems expensive but that's about average due to the packing material, ect. Shipping is fast and quality rats.
