Thanks everyone!

I know I'm not Dave, but, 24 to 48 hours. My guess is people miss it because they are not over-looking their animals daily or just confusing building and ovulation.

Mike, thanks for answering the questions. I agree that novice breeders often confuse building for ovulation as I did it my first year breeding. I would add that while the full blown ovulation may last a day or so, there are a few days before and after that it is still very noticable. Once you know what your looking at it is very easy to recognize.
