The combination of the thermometer w/ probe and this thermostat has proved pretty steady success for me in the past with temperatures. Temperatures might vary 1-2degrees, but not usually.
I live in South Florida so it's normally warm anyways and I don't keep my place too cold anyways.
In the past with this setup I haven't had problems with heat or humidity at all.
If I notice any inconsistency there will be a change made though.
I can't wait for my stuff to come in, I'm not even sure the exact temp of the enclosure right now but I'm positive it's above 80 and below 90.
I'm bringing a temp thermometer from work tomorrow to suffice until the new one and heating pad come in. I'm not too fond of having a flood light for heat for snakes, all my stuff should come in by the end of this week.
To get anything locally I would spend a fortune. A SMALL (4x8) heating pad usually goes for $15-25 down here, even in the reptile specialty stores (There are about 4-5 within 10 miles of me).
