    Rather than elaborate I will refer you to this http://ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html it's a great guide when you just get started because it allow you to follow the process in a detailed way with pictures, now remember you may or may not notice all the described steps but most you will be able to identify without any issues at least the most important one which is the ovulation.
