Housing question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a sterilite plastic tub for my baby ball python.

Is it okay for me to mount my under tank heater to the bottom of the plastic??
I dont want it to melt it or anything!

Get a thermostat (not to be mistaken for a thermometer) and you won't have to worry. A UTH without one will melt/burn the plastic (or glass) and snake.

I use tubs on a table in my office for quarantine. I had a few UTHs and what I do is just leave the backing on and peel it back slightly and put the thermostat probe between so it will stay in place. I just set the heat pad on the desk and put the tub on it. I wouldn't stick it to it so you can clean it more easily. And be sure to use a thermostat, it will get hot enough to hurt your snake without.
