New Arrival Didnt Eat,How Long Untill I should Offer again?

Ive had my new lesser a few days and he didn't eat the live hopper... How long until i should offer again? And what can i do with the mouse without breaching my quarantine, because i have no other snakes in quarantine... Its been a while since i had a new arrival so i need some memory refreshing . Thanks guys.

Give him a week. If he didn't eat the mouse, keep the mouse separate from the rest of the colony. In effect, what you do is quarantine anything that comes into contact with your quarantined snake.

My quarantine room is two floors away from my colony. I also have a small rat setup in my quarantine room, that way nothing from the quarantine room ever goes near the colony (snake or rodent).

Okay, well i dont breed my own mice, so its a hopper and the new snake is 100g. Do you think it will grow so much in a week that i cant feed it to the snake anymore? thanks.

Hes not talking about breeding mice.

When you offer a live meal to a new snake in collection, and it dont eat it. You dont go and feed that mouse to another snake in collection. SInce that mouse was exposed to the new snake, and could spread something if it had something to spread.

I offer food to all new arrivals at night first day i get them. Some eat some dont, the ones that dont, i leave them alone for about 10-14 days then offer and they eat right away. If you get pushy trying to get it to eat, you will only push it into a Fast which will be unhealthy for its size.

How is the snake setup, Pics will help as well.

i know not to feed the mouse to my other snakes. It will obviously mess up the quarantine. I was asking if i kept the mouse for 10 days, will it be to big for the snake to eat, its a hopper now. And the setup is the exact same as all of my 2011 hatchings. It has newspaper sub straight, water bowl, black small Reptile Basics Hide, 6qt shoebox tub. The exact same as all of my other hatchlings. Ill get a pic if i can later on, thanks

I feed my younger snakes on a 4 day feeding schedule, so it probably wouldn't hurt. If he doesn't eat it tonight I'd give him a full week.

well, i dont want to stress him so much that it knocks him off feed completely, cant have such a small snake like that (71g) off feed=(

All I'm saying is that I don't think that it will hurt, but waiting a few more days won't either.
