BP Homebuilt Display
I finally completed the enclosure for my Ball Python. I was originally just going to purchase an old China Cabinet/Curio Display but changed my mind and decided to build one.
Early construction, sides/back/top is just 1/2 plywood while the support pieces are MDF trim. Its 33" wide, 20" deep and each enclosure is 18" high.

I ordered some custom cut glass from a local shop for the base and just used computer fan guards for the air holes as they are cheap, effective, locally available, and look good. I still have to put two more in (they are the black boxes screwed to the outside). I just used Kitchen & Bath Scrubable paint, three coats, to seal it. I don't think it should be an issue as I can't see the sides/top getting saturated. I currently have a fan speeding the curing process.
Almost finished product:

My only question is this, how small a hole can a BP fit through, skull size? I've got a gap about the size of a pencil were the doors latch, I think it should be fine, but am guessing? My guy is also quite small, picture below.
Here is a photo of the gap:

I plan on heating the enclosure with a UTH, hopefully exclusively. If that doesn't provide enough heat, I'll get a bulb or ceramic emitter to suppliment the UTH. That will be another day though as I haven't even began setup and/or checking heat/humidity levels.
And now, the lucky inhabitant, my first, and currently only, BP:

Hopefully it will be ready to go in the next week or two.
