Feeding Problems..

So i've had this new ball since August. when i got him he was a month old. Anyways every week since i got him hes eaten 1 mouse a week. And now suddenly hes not eating. He hasn't wanted food i've offered for the last two weeks. I'm beginning to get worried cause hes still young. Any advice on this?

How much does your snake weigh, how much do the mice weigh, and what are the temperatures in your snakes cage.

This time of year a lot of BPs go off feed, but answers to the questions above will confirm if that is the cause or not.

I don't know how much he weighs...
not sure how much the mice weigh either, they are full grown i get from a breeder, just white mice frozen thawed.
as for the temps its 80, hes got a 90 hot spot and several hides in all zones of heating.

Ok. You should get a scale (metric) so you can weigh your snake and feeder rodents. You should feed your snake 15% of its body weight.

If your snake doesn't start eating in a few weeks then I would be worried but for now I think you are fine. Just continue attempting to feed your snake on your normal feeding schedule.

Remember skipping a week or two is very different than going of feed, they will skip every now and than however if the behavior persist given the age you will need to figure out what can be done for the animal to resume feeding.

Make sure your husbandry is optimal, proper temps, optimal security, adequate enclosure size etc.

Given it's age if he is in anything larger than a 15 quarts tub I would recommend to downsize, overtime large enclosures can cause stress and it generally manifest itself by the animal going off feed.

maybe ill try the smaller housing, his isnt that big but it did start after i moved back to my apt from christmas holidays. he was in a considerable smaller size then normal while i was visiting parents over the holidays..
