Plastic deli cups for water bowls... what about steel sauce cups?
http://www.amazon.com/Adcraft-Sauce-...7029699&sr=1-2
Was wandering amazon just to "shop around" and came across these. I was wondering if they'd be suitable for leopard geckos, or any reptile really? It says they have smooth edges so cuts shouldn't be a problem... I just thought it would be more environmentally friendly than the many plastic cups I have to throw out every other day

It should work, the one advantage of the plastic deli cups is that you don't have to clean them, just replace them. If you have a small collection it is no big deal to clean water dishes, but if you have 50, 100, 1,000, etc. then it becomes a serious issue to have to clean out that many water dishes.

Yeah, I just use ceramic bowls, we don't have many reptiles so it's not too big of a deal.

I'm a geek, I'd have to put all those deli cups in my recycling bin!

Hey, have you tried tee cup candle light holders? you can get a few of em for like a few bucks. They are glass so they are heavy and they cant tip them over. Looks pretty classy too
