Most thermometers (digital anyway) under the 200$ mark are not very accurate they usually are with in 2º of correct the herpstat is likely the best thermometer in its price range you will find.
    Im using an indoor outdoor thermometer with a probe and a thermometer within the incubator as well. They are one degree off from eachother. I have the herpstat probe taped to the flexwatt, would you recommend that I remove the herpstat probe from the heat tape and place it in the center of the cooler and use it as the thermometer? and yes they are cheap thermometers, the herpstat is from spyder robotics though.
