Aww sweetie..you made me remeber my best friend! The hurt will always be there but will lesson i promise. Let go of your guilt bc like others said it will eat at you. You had your reasons just like the rest of us. You wanted to hold onto him longer....been there! He'll always be with you remember the good times and know that he knew you were there and you showed him true love before he passed. That's all we ever want is the true love of someone, something be it human or animal. Bless you for including such a wonderful friend in your life may you find another like him.
