tragus piercing
Does anyone have their tragus pierced? I am thinking about getting this done. I have heard that it does not hurt that badly.

I don't have mine done, but have several friends who have done theirs. I've heard the same thing, not that bad of a piercing...

Don't hurt, just a lovely crunching sound and feeling as the needle goes through cartilage.

Most responses I get, it's not bad and doesn't really hurt.

I have it done. By far one of my least painful piercings. But, as stated, there is a sickening crunching sound. It did seem to take awhile to heal though, and it was a tad uncomfortable to sleep on that side for a few weeks.
Still better than getting my lobes done with those sadistic guns at Claire's.
And I have to add: make sure you choose a reputible piercer!!

Honestly I thought it hurt the worst of any of my piercings. But, I also think that my tragus is thicker than a lot of people's for some reason so that would probably be why. On the plus side though, it is easier to heal up than some other piercings because it is not in an area of the ear that sticks out too much.

I definitely agree. I looked up online for certified pierces when I got my industrial.

I didn't find it to be that bad. Healing was the worst part of the whole thing. That cartilage sound is always fun! I love my tragus and there are tons of cute jewelry styles for tragus piercings. As the others have said make sure you go to a GOOD piercer and keep up your aftercare - it'll make for easier healing time!

Re: tragus piercing
Not really related to yours, but I had a vertical anti-tragus, and it was my favorite. Can't really compare surface piercings to cartilage piercings, but the location looks nice and pain is temporary. Cleaning and maintenance is a hassle though!
