    not all pet stores suck...

I just left a nice google review for my local pet store. They are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They're also honest about problems that they might have. And they have a terrific selection of feeders. Four of the attendants have their own home collection of balls, one of them has over 70. Many of their snakes come from local breeders. They are always willing to listen to my stoopid questions (y'all know how panicky I am at the first sign of trouble, I can be a crazy customer...) and give good advice. Just wanted to start a positive thread on a pet store... Anyone else have a good experience with their local pet store?

Now that my friend! IS a good pet store.

There is a store where my fiancee's mother lives that I can give a good review. There reptile section is small, (only 5-10 animals max) but there reptile keeper and "feeder" keep is well knowledged. He also takes advice. I said one of his animals was starting to get a RI, he asked me to show him and once I did he scheduled a vet appointment right infront of me and even gave me a free rat as a thank you.

I can't say the samme though for a few stores in my area... But they're are good pet shops out there.

    Thanks for sharing BTW!

My favorite pet store is PetStop in Owasso, Ok. The staff all have alot of herp experience and are more then willing to listen, take and give advice. The also handle the animals daily so they are on a constant look out for problems. Feeders are always perfect sized and even better if you have a snake that your not sure what to feed, take it in and they will help find the right size. If your in the area stop in and check them out.
To the op, great to see someone finally has a good shop to go to, heres as of late its all been neg feedback against chainstores. Guess petstores are like good food, the hole in the wall mom and pop shops are always better...lol

Small, family owned stores can be great. Just stay away from the big 3 and you'll be fine. Just be sure to check out the animals and reviews before you buy.
