    x2! I know you said you wanted him on rats asap, but mice are actually better for him at this age. You'll probably get some folks here who disagree with that, and feeding rat pinks isn't necessarily wrong, but boas can have issues when they get too much fat in their diet. They grow more slowly, and therefore better, on mice which have a higher bone and calcium content. Just for the first 8-12 months - then rats are better. This info was given to me from Tim at Special K Reptiles. Tim has been in boas for a looong time and has raised hundred, if not thousands, of baby boas on both mice and rats. It's totally your choice of course, but think about it. If you do keep him on rats, watch his weight and don't feed more than 1 a week.
