The heater has a filter on the back that stops anythign from getting sucked into it. Which si washable with warm water.

The heating element is inside you cant touch it and the unit only hits a surface temp of 85F.

The radiator would hit temps of 150F in some spots. This is by far more safe than the oil radiator.
