First Time Snake Owner From SoCal

Oh lookit, an introduction forum Pardon me for not posting here before, didn't even see it.

I've just recently acquired my first ball python, an unknown gendered Normal who is now going to be known as Crowley. While he's* at least partially partially if not totally blind, he's also one of the nicest and most tame baby balls I've had the pleasure of dealing with.

I'm a recent college graduate who is still stuck working part time at a Petco, but at least it's a job to keep me going until I can find something better. While I make no claims at being an expert on any animal, I do try to find out as much as I can independent of the store's "training" and oftentimes inaccurate caresheets. At the very least I like knowing where I direct people to find the answers they need if I can't answer them, and have been pleasantly surprised at the willingness of most people to improve the lives of their pets when given the tools and knowledge to get started.

I've also kind of wanted a snake my entire life but had parents who weren't comfortable with the idea. Finally got a snake to play with and cuddle! Plus I've always had a very basic knowledge level of reptile care, but there are some things you can only really learn by doing.

Currently I also have a rescue cat called Momo, and one betta called Finch, though my boyfriend also has a 20 gallon freshwater fish tank that we sort of share along with the rest.

*He seems standard, and I hate calling my animals "it." If/when I find out his actual gender I'll just change it in my posts.
