Got my first BP on Sunday!

So i was supposed to get him on the 18th but i did it a week earlier instead.

    His/Her name is Jay

The Age and gender is unknown, and i don't know how when or where to get it sexed,,,ideas? (but im calling it a him for now) He is about 20 inches (so im just assuming he is probably still pretty young.),haven't weighed him yet. He is very active and loved being held. He isn't that head shy either when i put my hand in front of him to stop him from going some place he just goes up to my hand smells it then proceeds to climb over it. He was last fed Thursday so im gonna wait till friday to feed him again,he is eating hoppers. He is a Normal morph.

Now i got him at Petco and i heard from a lot of people that say not to get them here but i just liked him so much and the workers said he was CBB and from a breeder the sell with. He just finished his shed i believe because when i got him he had a slight pink belly and now its not,but his cage mate at the store was temperamental and had stuck shed i felt bad for it.
Now im not sure if there is anything abnormal with him but i am just starting out so i might not see something that could be worrisome

    Nice looking bp,

When I go to petco I want to buy all their bp's even though they are over priced. But they look like they need someone who's going to pay them attention, help them with their sheds and make them feel wanted. That's why I can't wait to one day open my own Reptile store

    0.1 Pastel (LemonDrop)
    1.0 Mojave (Mojo)
    1.1 Normals (Otis, Queen)
    1.0 Pinstripe (Pins)

He looks good. You can watch videos online to learn how to sex him/her yourself. but unless you plan to breed him/her I wouldn't even bother. I would say that he is between 2 and 5 months old. Make sure you weigh him so you know how much to feed him. a ball python should be fed 10%-15% of his/her body weight once or twice a week. (I feed mine twice a week until they are 450 grams then only once a week).

Just going to go over the basics just in case. (Sorry if this is redundant)

Make sure he has 1/2 of the cage between 88 and 92 degrees F, and the other half is between 78 and 82 degrees F. Keep the relative humidity between 40% and 60% except when he goes into shed. When he goes into shed bump up the humidity to 60%-80% If you are using a Under Tank Heater it needs to be regulated by a thermostat so your snake doesn't receive burns. (UTH can get very hot I've seen some at 110+)
