I have only one male retic and he just finished shedding saturday night. He is a purple albino tiger retic, and so he is bright yellow with crazy patterns. But, he still had cloudy eyes and dull looking skin. But, right before he shed he's eyes were clear and his body didn't look to dull. But, when I looked closely he had the spikey skin and didn't like being touched. I would think that there was some kind of sign's that maybe you didn't read as a shedding sign?
I had the same situation as you but with my female granite yellow anaconda. Last wednesday she feed normally. I held her on saturday in the afternoon. Then sunday evening when I got home, I noticed that her tub was all wrecked up. I looked closer inside and she had completed a full shed.
So, weird because I didn't see before this. Any cloudy eyes or dulling of the skin. I took some pic's last wednesday and did notice her lower half of her body looked overly white. She spend's alot of time in her pool so I figured she was water logged. You know when you stay in the bathtub to long? Your body becomes whitier and prunny, lol.
