help! any advice will be great will not eat

i have a adult four foot long ball python. he just had a perfect shed about 9 or 10 days ago. will not eat but will drink, always active but wont eat live or frozen. i have notice on usual red on him not pinkish like during.shed ,i think it could be due to a burn from the heat pad thats under his hide. it has burnt his little tip of tail before but has rehealed perfect and still ate after that, but now its mostly his bottom half, im not sure really but it could be due to the eco earth that gives him a sort of brown red but any help will be great thank you

Not eating is usually common this time of the year. However, the "burn" concerns me. Do you have the heat pad on a thermostat? Do you have a thermometer to take the temps over the heat pad? Can you provide pics of the "burn"?

Besides the heat pad questions? Do you have the bp in a tank or a tub? If so it probably would be safer if the heat source was not on the inside of enclosure! Just giving a little advice

Can we get some pics of the "burn" and the setup itself? These things can be hard to judge the severity without them. If it's not already, get the heat pad on a thermostat as soon as you can.

Pink bellies do happen during shed time, however the fact that you believe it's a burn leads to believe that you do not use a thermostat for your heat pad. Get one, and if it is confirmed a burn (pics would be great) then a vet trip may be necessary for antibiotics if it's severe enough. And if you haven't already, I'd change the substrate to paper towels to avoid further irritation.

We have all of ours on Eco earth, and I have never seen it "discolor" them. I would also suspect a burn. Like the others said, pictures please.
