I got my first BP a week ago and settled on the name Pablo within a day or so. He (or she, but I'm going with he, lol) just seemed to look like a Pablo. That's how I've chosen all my pet's names (I've got a cat and three dogs as well); just looked up lists of names and picked whichever one they seemed to "look" like.
Pablo does the "squishy" thing too, I think. Whenever I stroke him, I can feel his muscles "do the wave". I've always thought it's just because the feeling is ticklish. He doesn't seem to mind; he doesn't hurry to slither away or anything. :-)
