Has he been eating? If he looks like he is growing he will shed soon enough.

How often are you feeding him? If your snake is eating, then he is growing and will eventually shed. My babies usually shed every 4 to 6 weeks. Are you feeding him at least once a week?

If you're worried about him, you can buy a kitchen scale with a grams setting, and write down his weight (in grams) before every meal. He should shed at least once for every 100 grams of growth.

I've had ball pythons go that long between sheds. It's unusual for babies to go longer than 2-3 months, but 4 months isn't crazy. They don't always read their own care sheets...

Sounds like a maintenance diet to me. If you've had the BP for over 4 months then its safe to say it's at least a 5-6 month old BP. A fuzzy anything is much too small.

My 8 month old babies are eating small rats and weigh 500 grams.

Start feeding your BP larger meals and it will grow and shed. Move up to weanling size rats if it's eating fuzzy rats.
