only thing i can think of is its still adjusting to his new home. I know when i first got my BP and the BP before that, the first like 3 days they were all over the place, then after that some time in a hide and the rest exploring, then after a while u never see them again. Same goes when i do a complete cleaning of my tank, it smells different so they act as if its a new enclosure, first few days hes all over the place, then after a few days, the only time u might catch a glimpse of him is when hes going from one hide to the other..

Just give him a week or two to settle in, and he will start using the hides.

Re: not using hides
The bp's I've had all liked to spend a day exploring they're enclosure before settling down in the hides. Don't worry about it. Congrats, by the way.

Thank you soooooo much everybody. This is my first snake, so I am extremely paranoid about this. Also, when I received him he was very agressive, and he still is 2 days later. Should I be worried?
I will post pics when he is fully settled in.

You shouldn't be worried. He's probably just stressed and scared. He's just trying to defend himself. Don't mess with him for atleast a week so he can get settled in.
Giving us a rundown of your enclosure type, maybe we can give you some more tips as well. Congrats on your new baby, and welcome to bp.net

Nah, give him a few days. If you got shipped in a box, with strange sounds and smells and not being able to see, you'd probably be pretty angry too.
Minimal to no handling as well. It's allllll new smells, sights and probably textures. Let it figure out what direction up and down is, it'll be more comfortable that way. And you probably wont get bit
On a side note - I have a 2010 male that HATES hides. and spends 90% of his time in his tree. I haven't the remotest idea why - other than that's what he wants. There will always be exceptions to the rules. ESPECIALLY with live animals.

Okay my enclosure is a 10 gallon aquarium with a locking screen top and 3 sides blacked out. I have aluminum foil on the cool half of the tank to keep both heat and humidity in. I have a zoo med reptitherm uth (10-20 gal size)and a ceramic heat emitter, both plugged in to a zoo med 500r thermostat that keeps hot side belly temps around 89-92 degrees. I have two identical tides from petco that are a little roomy for him, but do ok. I have an exo terra water dish and a hanging plant that goes across the tank under the che (that's where he has been hanging out) my substrate is cypress mulch.
Any suggestions?

He needs time to adjust and settle in. Are your hides appropriate sized? Small enough for him to feel secure in?
