    New Addition: Another male SD!

So, the retics have stolen my heart, but since I could never manage a mainland or even locality dwarf on my own, I've been big on the SD's.

This is my second male SD, produced by Henry Piorun in 2007 (though I didn't buy him directly from Henry, I got him from someone on ReptilesCanada.com), and I'm already starting to save so I can maybe get an older female some day to breed... I have another addiction haha.

It's not the best pic and he's in shed, but here's Trent:

I'll for sure be posting new pics once he sheds (and for those of you wondering, yes Trent referring to Trent Reznor... I ran out of Tool/APC based names and moved on to NIN now )

Thanks! He's just about 5.5' and from the looks of him even if he isn't an '07 (though I trust the guy I got him from) he's done growing.

    Thanks!
That's what I was thinking when I named him! But people tend to look at me like I'm crazy when I say a snake looks like someone, so I tend to just keep it to myself

I love retics, but as you said, I couldn't handle one on my own. How big does an average full grown male SD get? Between 5-6'? And how much do they weigh?

He's very cute. Congrats on the pick up! (Now I want one even more. )

Thanks! And if you get one, you won't regret it! heh heh okay, I know I'm not helping lol

Depends on if you're getting pure super dwarf, and where you're getting them from (some breeders have smaller lines than others). Anything with a morph in it is not pure SD because apparently there are no morphs in SD's, so they may have the potential to be slightly larger because they are mixed with mainlands or locality dwarves.

Generally though most that you'll see will be around 5-6', with some of the really small ones being even as small as 4' (I've heard of one) but those are rare. They're lean like regular retics though so they are really not heavy or girthy. I haven't weighed this guy, but I'd guess him to be maybe at roughly about 1000 grams (but I'm terrible at weight guessing lol)
