Depends on how they are eating. Males could be up to weight in 6-8 months. The earliest I have seen a female reach weight is 18 months but the likelihood of that happening is not so good, age is a bigger factor IMO. I usually see females ready their third winter. So say a female was born last Sept 2011, this winter would be her first, next winter(2012-2013) her second and the following year she should be ready. Some may go a little sooner and some a little later.

All balls are different growers I have 3 year old that are 2000g and a 5 year old that is hitting 1800. Ya she was a slow one. Some just are really picky crappy eaters. Some start really good and hit a wall for a year. Some keep on growing and growing. It depends but I always expect 3 years on a hatchling hold back female before I even think about breeding her. If she gets up to size in 2 I might try it if she's a chunker but it again depends on the female.

    7 - 8 months male, 18-20 months females.

I got clutches from both of my 2 year old yb females last year, they started breeding at 17-18 months old and dropped eggs within a week of turning two yrs old.
They ate really well from the get go and were both over 1500 grams at 18 months old.

Then I have a yb female that is going to be 3 years old in a few months and she's 1200 grams...
Weight is important but so is age, some make weight by their 2nd year and some don't.
